Created Inmate Crew and cleaned up litter and illegal dump sites in the precinct

Initiated the hiring of a Litter Abatement Officer through County grant

Supported purchase of new building for Adult Probation on 6th Street
and Jefferson sufficient room for expansion and parking

Instrumental in initiating program to collect past due fines for the County

Supported effort to increase Economic Development fund creating new business and
industry such as Free Flight, Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Sanderson
Farms and is currently working on Aviation Plaza at TSTC, Coca Cola Expansion, and

Precinct Bridges...

|
Joe Mashek took Office in 1997, there were 16 wooden bridges at that time and to
date 15 have been replaced. Plans to replace rest within the year. Old Railroad
Rd. Bridge to be replaced in 2008.

Paved 17 miles of gravel roads in 2007, with plans to pave 10 miles in Precinct
3 in 2008.
