Created Inmate Crew and cleaned up litter and illegal dump sites in the precinct

Initiated the hiring of a Litter Abatement Officer through County grant

Supported purchase of new building for Adult Probation on 6th Street
and Jefferson sufficient room for expansion and parking

Instrumental in initiating program to collect past due fines for the County

industry such as Free Flight, Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Sanderson

Joe Mashek took Office in 1997, there were 16 wooden bridges at that time and to
date all 16 have been replaced. Old Dallas road bridge is now being replaced, and it is not wooden.
